We think our work is great... and so do awards bodies!

In the last couple of years we have been delighted to be shortlisted for a number of awards run by various esteemed organisations.

PPMAs 2016 – Recruitment Campaign of the Year

We were delighted to be presented with the award for the Recruitment Campaign of the Year for our work with Hackney Homes.

Hackney Homes came to Jobsgopublic with an exciting proposition. In a first-of-its-kind move for the organisation, they had devised a new training programme that would provide young people with a step-up into careers within the public sector.

As opposed to an internship or apprenticeship, the scheme would see successful candidates take on full positions within Hackney Homes, be paid accordingly and receive thorough on-the-job training.

The campaign took place over two phases and involved a multi-platform attraction campaign and a multi-stage process. This included a short application to a talent pool, allowing unsuitable candidates to be filtered by essential criteria before being invited to complete a more detailed application to the Jobsgopublic ATS.

The campaign was run in two phases, with two separate groups of vacancies.

Across the two phases there were over 1,500 applications to the Talent Pool and nearly 400 to the ATS. Finally, this resulted in 40 applicants being invited to interview and 19 hires.

The campaign was a huge success and Hackney Homes not only filled all the original posts but also had extra candidates that were used to fill additional vacancies.

PPMAs 2014 – Best Volume Recruitment Campaign

In October 2013, Jobsgopublic were selected by Hackney Homes to run a complex recruitment campaign to fill a number of diverse and varied roles following a significant reorganisation.

Recognising the need for a dynamic approach, Jobsgopublic implemented a variety of online and offline attraction methods which drove large volumes of traffic to a dedicated microsite.

The campaign was considered a great success with high numbers of applications and quality appointments made. This was all achieved at a significant saving to Hackney Homes, both financially and resource wise.

PPMA 2015 – Private Sector Partner/Supplier of the Year

We were delighted to be recognised at the 2015 PPMA awards for the success of our partnership with London Borough of Havering.

Recruiting social workers is a significant challenge for any employer and London Borough of Havering was no different. The publication of their Children’s Social Work Workforce Strategy identified an urgent need to dramatically reduce their vacancy factor as well as a significant reliance on agency staff. Social workers were being drawn to higher paid jobs with better-known inner-London boroughs making the challenges Havering faced even more difficult.

The partnership between Havering and Jobsgopublic began and set about tackling these challenges. Implementing an innovative campaign to develop Havering’s employer brand and an active recruitment process, the partnership achieved great success. This included appointing to a number of key roles and reducing the vacancy factor by 22%.

PPMA 2014 – Best Professional Campaign

Our work with Hackney Homes was not our only campaign to be recognised by the PPMAs - we were also shortlisted for Best Professional Campaign for our work with Birmingham City Council (BCC).

In February 2013, a campaign was launched to recruit social workers on a large scale in order to dramatically reduce the use of agency workers within Children & Family services following consistent criticism.

A dedicated microsite, digital attraction campaign and talent pool allowed Birmingham to build up a database of qualified social workers, streamlining the recruitment process and minimising costs. At the time of shortlisting, this campaign had resulted in 173 job offers with an estimated saving of £500,000.

This public/private partnership was the first of its kind and marries public sector ethos with the best of private sector business acumen. This provides viable options to public sector organisations looking to reduce resourcing overhead costs and improve outcomes simultaneously.

Personnel Today Awards 2014 – Innovation in Recruitment

Hackney Homes had come to Jobsgopublic with an extremely challenging brief, needing to fill 43 diverse roles at operational, technical and managerial levels following a significant restructuring.

In order to effectively tackle a challenge of this nature required a dynamic and unique approach that reflected Hackney Homes’ vision, values and culture. Having implemented a range of online search methods along with digital and print advertising the campaign was deemed a huge success and as a result recognised by Personnel Today.

PPMA 2015 – Private Sector Partner/Supplier of the Year

For the 2nd year running, the achievements of Jobsgopublic’s partnership with Birmingham City Council (BCC) was recognised with its inclusion on the PPMA Awards shortlist.

PPMA 2015 – Recruitment Campaign of the Year

Jobsgopublic was approached by Land Registry in 2014 to help them recruit for the first apprenticeship scheme in their 150-year history. This scheme was born out of an urgent need to rejuvenate their workforce, 42% of which were entering, or nearing, retirement age.

The scheme required 60 apprentices, aged 16-24, spread across 3 locations in the midlands. A dedicated microsite was built and a multi-platform digital attraction campaign implemented.

With a tight timescale and an even tighter budget, the campaign saw a 100% success rate with all 60 positions filled.

UK Public Sector Communication Awards – Low Budget Campaign of the Year

Jobsgopublic’s highly successful campaign for Land Registry was also recognised by the UK Public Sector Communication Awards, this is in particular recognition for what was achieved with a limited budget.

Throughout this campaign, Jobsgopublic took advantage of social media platforms as highly effective tools in raising awareness and driving traffic. Reaching out to local schools and colleges was also a great way to spread the word to suitable candidates at minimal cost.
