Here at Jobsgopublic, we have decided to put our heads together to come up with some ways in which we can raise some money for a number of causes that hold particular significance to our team.

We will be rotating between charities every couple of months and holding a number of special events throughout the year in order to raise as much as we can for these incredibly worthy causes.

The first charity we have chosen is Breakthrough who are doing incredible work in breast cancer research. Due to recent events this charity is particularly close to us all. Focusing entirely on breast cancer, Breakthrough’s scientists are finding new ways to prevent, detect and treat breast cancer more effectively.

Advances in this work can save thousands of lives, currently in the UK around 1,000 women die from breast cancer every month with 1 in every 8 women suffering from breast cancer at some point in their lives.

Breakthrough are determined to continue to learn how to control the disease so that one day they can completely stop it from taking another life. It is our pleasure to show our support for this cause.

Our first money-raising scheme will involve us joining the rest of the nation on Friday as we all don our Christmas jumpers this Friday. Everyone in the office will be donating money for the pleasure of spending the day emblazoned with festive cheer. Stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as our blog on Friday for the best jumpers on display at Jobsgopublic headquarters and the winners of our coveted(ish) prizes.

Following on from this we’ve got some exciting plans in January including a Pyjama Day and an event to christen our new home (more to come on that soon).
