Ground-breaking service recruiting to key roles

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have revolutionised the way they are delivering their Children’s Services and have partnered with Jobsgopublic for an ongoing campaign that will see a number of key senior roles filled.
“Following a number of extremely successful smaller campaigns, we were delighted to partner with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in order to help them recruit for their ground-breaking service.“ – Miles Skelton, Managing Director at Jobsgopublic.
We are proud to bring you the resultant ongoing campaign at www.rbwmchildrensservices.co.uk. The campaign will bring a number of exciting opportunities for experienced individuals to join a service that is not only forward-thinking but truly innovative in the way that services are delivered.
There were a number of aspects of Windsor and Maidenhead’s approach that particularly stood out for us however none more so than their implementation of a ‘pod system’. This system sees each case handled, not by one single social worker before being passed on but, by an entire multi-disciplinary team who work on the case together. Service users benefit hugely from the combined expertise of the team and it ensures a level of consistency in care as they remain with the same team rather than being continuously referred.
This approach also provides significant benefits to the members of the ‘pod’ as no single individual gets bogged down with heavy or complex caseloads as each are shared between the team. The ‘pods’ also provide a rich learning and development experience as members learn from each other’s experiences.
The collaborative nature of the ‘pods’ has encouraged a culture of open communication throughout the service. This is something that is evident from the top down with managers taking a genuinely ‘hands-on’ approach to leadership. It was this that inspired the campaign tagline ‘we talk, we listen, we lead’. This incorporated the culture of communication, where everyone has a voice and a service which is leading the way in innovative service delivery.
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead are on an exciting journey, they have taken some huge steps forward and their progress was praised in a recent OFSTED inspection. They are determined to see this progress continue and are now looking for experienced and dedicated professionals to join them and make a real difference to vulnerable children, young people and families in the borough.
Obviously Jobsgopublic were thrilled to join Windsor and Maidenhead on this campaign, we have a great passion for working with clients who display innovation especially when this works in the best interest of service users. The purpose-built microsite was designed to truly highlight what Windsor and Maidenhead had to offer. We have also implemented an attraction campaign that incorporates search engine marketing and social media advertising to target a variety of active and passive jobseekers.
As this is an ongoing campaign, we have also implemented a talent pool to allow Windsor and Maidenhead to build database of potential candidates. Talent pools encourage candidates to register their interest in an organisation rather than a specific role. The employer can then communicate with the candidates, maintaining interest and inform them of new vacancies that arise. The database the Talent Pool provides also allows for a smooth recruitment process as candidates are ready and waiting to be hired. This allows for a smooth and painless process that provides significant savings of time and money.
As ever we are excited to see the results of this ongoing campaign which we have no doubt will see huge levels of success. Windsor and Maidenhead is changing the way in which effective services are delivered and offer the opportunity for dedicated individuals to develop, grow and genuinely make a different to the borough’s most vulnerable residents.
