Jobsgopublic & Islington Council combine to transform services
Sam Wilson, The 21st of October, 2015

Something special is underway as Jobsgopublic and Islington Council have joined forces for a unique campaign. They are on the hunt for talented and individuals to fill a number of key positions within Islington’s Adult Social Services and Commissioning teams.

This campaign is centred around the purpose-built islingtonadultservicesjobs.co.uk.

Having changed their approach to service delivery and undergone a significant restructure, Islington’s Commissioning and Adult Social Services are on the lookout for talented and experienced individuals to join them. With a firm focus on providing the highest standard of service that directly meet the needs of residents and represent excellent value for money, the vacancies are by no means a walk in the park. What they do represent is an exciting challenge, opportunities to join one of two pioneering services that genuinely place the often complex needs of Islington’s most vulnerable residents at the heart of everything they do.

As ever, careful thought was put into the key messages of the campaign and, through our discussions with Islington, three key points shone through “Collaborate, Innovate, Develop”. These three phrases encapsulated everything that Islington represented and offered and were the perfect anchors for the campaign.

Collaborate

Islington are pioneers in terms of the way they deliver services through dynamic collaborative working, both externally and internally. A number of highly effective working partnerships have transformed the way that services are delivered with resources and expertise shared throughout the council and with a number of external parties. This includes highly effective collaborations within the NHS and Clinical Commissioning Groups. This way of working has ensured that a range of high-quality services are easily accessible to those that need them.

Innovate

Innovation was a clear overarching theme and a common characteristic in the desired candidates for all roles. Following the restructure, Islington recognised that embracing innovation had led to huge successes in recent endeavours and that it should be something that should be sought out and embraced further. Islington would become the natural home for innovators and as a result would be providing far superior services.

Develop

As well as a commitment to the residents of Islington, the council have invested heavily in their employees and have vowed to continue to do so. Islington hold professional development in very high regard, recognising that investing in their staff always represents good value for money. This in turn will benefit Islington’s residents as standards of care subsequently reach new highs. Part of Islington’s promise to new employees is that their future will be invested in.

With a purpose-built microsite live and a multi-platform attraction, including innovative search engine and social media advertising as well as direct sourcing, underway, we are excited to see the results of this campaign. Following the success of children’s, housing and ICT campaigns of a similar nature, we have no doubt that this campaign will reap similar results.

If you are looking for the next step in your social care or commissioning career then Islington has a great deal to offer.
