Jobsgopublic launch the new-look Birmingham Social Care jobs site
Sam Wilson, The 3rd of November, 2015

We have been proud partners of Birmingham City Council for many years. In 2012, we joined forces for an ambitious ‘always on’ campaign which would adopt a completely new approach to recruitment. Our work has primarily focussed on social work recruitment, which has long been a significantly challenging area to recruit to.

Since our partnership began it has reaped significant results. 134 social workers were recruited in the space of 12 months and their reliance on agency workers was dramatically reduced, at a significant saving to the council.

One of the linchpins of our work with Birmingham has been the dedicated microsite www.birminghamsocialcarejobs.com. This site was built to specifically serve BCC’s ongoing social work recruitment campaign and provide candidates with extensive information as a place and the council as an employer.

The site has proved to be incredibly popular and has seen huge amounts of traffic since it’s launch in 2012.

As a way of recognising Birmingham’s achievements in this time and to mirror their reputation as a social care employer of choice, we have given the site a complete makeover. The brand new site is designed to reflect the rich diversity of Birmingham as a place and its ambitions as an organisation as they continue to innovate in service delivery. With candidate experience at the forefront of our minds, the Jobsgopublic team used a variety of sophisticated analytics tools and heat maps to ensure the most effective aspects of the old site were maintained in the new site. These were combined with a slick new design and a collection of new imagery of genuine Birmingham residents.

As well as the new-look site, Birmingham have a number of exciting new vacancies within their Independent Reviewing, Child Protection and Emergency Duty teams.
