So… 2016, here we go!

We have some big plans for this year and are truly excited to see where the next 12 months will take us. We will be building on the incredible progress we have made in recent years and continuing to grow, innovate and achieve.

As we embark on the next phase of our exciting journey, we wanted to take a moment and look back on the remarkable last 12 months with a quick 2015 round-up.

There’s no place like home

It seems like a lifetime ago but on January 5th 2015 the Jobsgopublic team took to their desks for the first time in our brand new home in Clerkenwell. At the end of 2014 we had packed up our previous office on Fleet Street and over the Christmas period made the big move.

This move had been something that had been in the pipeline for quite some time as Miles and David painstakingly searched for somewhere we could truly make our own they came across a great space on St Cross Street, a space filled with potential. After a significant refurbishment project, it was ready to become the new Jobsgopublic HQ.

A year on and it feels like we’ve been here forever, we waited for a long time to have somewhere we can genuinely call home and this is it. Our breakout area has been the site of some lively company meetings, the table tennis table has seen more than a few tense match-ups and the walls become increasingly filled with our growing collection of artwork.

If you haven’t already, we hope that you will have the opportunity to come and pay us a visit soon.

More awards success!

Following our maiden victory at the PPMA Awards in 2014, we were delighted to once again be nominated for the 2015 awards.

This time around we were nominated three times, twice in the same category:

• Private Sector Partner/Supplier of the Year – Birmingham City Council
• Private Sector Partner/Supplier of the Year – London Borough of Havering
• Recruitment Campaign of the Year – Land Registry

These nominations recognised two highly successful partnerships that we have been developing for quite some time and one of the most challenging, yet successful campaigns that we have ever run.

The night of the awards came along and we were extremely proud to once again find ourselves up on stage accepting the award for our working with Havering.

Other nominations included nominations for a UK Public Sector Communications Award for Low Budget Campaign of the Year, once again for our work with Land Registry, an In-House Recruitment Award for ‘Recruitment Innovation’ for our work with Hackney Homes and the CIPD People Management Awards alongside OneSource for our work with Havering.

Having run a number of campaigns in 2015, we hope that we will be clearing yet more space on our trophy shelf this year.

All in a day’s work

With an office move and various awards ceremonies, you might be wondering if we had any time to do any actual work in 2015…

Sure enough, with the help of a number of new faces, the brand new Jobsgopublic HQ has been a hive of activity and we’re not just talking about the table tennis table.

As mentioned above, we ran a number of highly successful campaigns throughout 2015 that saw us produce some of, what we consider to be, our best work to date.

This included two campaigns with Hackney Homes to launch their brand new development scheme. This scheme would see them provide a platform from which young people could develop new skills and gain valuable experience in order to pursue rewarding careers in the public sector.

Our highly successful partnership with Birmingham City Council continued in 2015 and saw the re-launch of birminghamsocialcarejobs.com. This site has become the hub of social care recruitment and last year we gave it a brand new look.

2015 also saw the launch of a number of brand new microsites for employers such as Islington Council, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Medway Council. With some new projects underway there will be plenty more to see in the coming months.

Give them what they want

With the continued emergence of a candidate-driven job market, we placed a great deal of focus on candidate experience in 2015.

Following significant research, we unveiled that the majority of candidates prefer to apply for a job through an online form, however the functionality of this form is crucial as a significant number of candidates reported having not applied for a job due to a faulty application form.

On the back of this research and a drive to always be developing and improving our services, we launched our brand new online application form. This easy-to-use, highly functional form provides candidates with a first-class application experience, enhanced by the fact that is is completely mobile and tablet responsive.

Combined with our modularised ATS, the Jobsgopublic online application form is already proving incredibly popular with candidates and employers alike and is swiftly making poor candidate experiences a thing of the past.

Looking ahead…

So there we have it! With some extremely exciting plans in progress, 2015 is already feeling like a million years ago and we have our sights firmly set on what we hope will be another incredibly successful year ahead.
