We are delighted to announce the launch of the brand new Wokingham Borough Council Children’s Services recruitment site.

Having built a firm foundation of excellence in service delivery, Wokingham Borough Council have embarked on a journey that is transforming the way that their Children’s Services deliver care to the borough’s residents.

Their Innovation Programme has seen them embrace the Signs of Safety model of social care, encouraging their social workers to build collaborative relationships with service users. This approach allows them to effectively address the root of the problems at hand and deliver personalised support for sustainable change.

As they enter the next stage of their exciting journey, they are looking to bolster their ranks with social care professionals at a range of levels. Wokingham want ambitious and committed individuals to join a range of teams throughout Children’s Services. Each new addition will have the opportunity to shape the future of their team and the service as a whole.

Wokingham were very specific about the type of person they wanted and stated how important it was that the new recruits fit the ‘Wokingham mould’ in terms of attitude and commitment to the service. This was what inspired the ‘We are Wokingham…Are you?’ strapline, to truly capture the strength of Wokingham’s identity. This was supported by the site design, using real pictures of staff members to provide an insight into the service.

Not only did this represent the opportunity to help an authority like Wokingham transform their own service but the work their doing is likely to have a significantly wider impact on social care services across the UK.
