The LA Challenge puts the best local authorities to the test – and now it’s your turn!
Sam Wilson, The 9th of August, 2018

Having hosted events around the country in recent years, the Local Authority Challenge is coming to London for the first time in December 2018.

The LA Challenge provides aspiring managers a taste of what life is like in the big chair. As a team of six, participants will take on the role of a senior management team of a fictional unitary authority. Throughout the day, they’ll take on a variety of situations, challenges and role plays, having to cope and make crucial decisions in a constantly changing scenario.

Your team will be required to work closely together, as well as in partnership with neighbouring councils and other organisations, to deliver a new strategy – in the face of significant challenges. The purpose of the challenges is to test participants understanding and problem-solving abilities in a highly politically sensitive climate.

Jobsgopublic are proud to be a regular sponsor of the LA Challenge, recognising the role it plays in supporting the public sector at a point of ongoing and unprecedented change. The LA Challenge aims to help equip your staff with additional experience and knowledge that will make them an even greater asset to your organisation.

To give the more competitive amongst your team that added incentive, there will also be a range of awards at the end of the day.

The London LA Challenge will take place on Tuesday 4th December 2018 at Kensington Great Hall. Price for entry is £2,995 + vat per team.
