Wirral are on a journey to make Children’s Services great.
At JGP, we’re delighted to be a part of this journey – helping Wirral tell their story about what makes them special. Together, we’ve launched a brand-new social care careers site which explores Wirral’s vision, leadership and outstanding working environment.
Wirral have a new outward looking, innovative and high-performing senior leadership team and a culture of agile working. This is how they’re providing social workers with everything they need to carry out their best work. With excellent professional development training and new models of working, each social worker has the support to shape their own career, as well as the future of the service.
We were keen to give Wirral Council’s people a real voice in this campaign. Through podcasts with Director Paul Boyce, and interviews with practitioners, we found out what it’s really like to be a social worker in the area. These conversations made it clear why any passionate professional should make Wirral their next career choice.
We interviewed M. Belton, a social worker in the Assessment and Prevention team, whose experience perfectly summarises the message of this campaign:
“There’s been huge improvements in the last 12 months, with more transparency and everyone aiming to the same overall goal. It feels like the organisation is making big steps to improve and they are well and truly in this journey”.
Wirral know their journey isn’t over yet, but they’re making huge progress towards where they want to be – creating a Wirral that is a great place in which to grow up.
