Internet Explorer is gone – what does that mean?
For such a long time, when someone thinks of the web, they automatically think Internet Explorer.
Since 1995, Microsoft have released ELEVEN versions of the favourite browser, resulting in its most recent version for Windows 10.
If you’re over the age of 20, it’s likely you’ve either grown up with Internet Explorer, you had your ICT lessons on it, or you’ve used Internet Explorer as you started to navigate the ever-evolving Internet.
However, the life of our ever-reliable favourite has unfortunately come to an end.
Microsoft recently confirmed that they are discontinuing Internet Explorer and will no longer be supporting it as a web browser.
From 2016, Microsoft stopped providing users with security updates for older versions of Internet Explorer, and by using this browser you’re at a much higher risk of a data breach if your network becomes compromised.
As such, among other companies, development for our job boards will no longer support the use of Internet Explorer; so if you continue to use this browser, you may find it difficult to explore and apply for the vacancies you’re interested in!

Don’t be alarmed, although the internet can be a scary place, it is very simple to download and begin using an alternative.
